Axelle Bernard helped Washburn cap the 2017 portion of its schedule with a five game-win streak including results over Lincoln (66-58) and Benedictine (77-52). During the two-game span, the Awans, Belgium-product is averaging 15 points/game and seven rebounds. Bernard went into the holiday break with a 19-point performance against LU on Dec. 18 before posting an 11-point outing on Dec. 30 against BC while pulling down seven rebounds in each contest. The senior forward rounds out her stats with four assists, four blocks, three steals and 3-for-5 shooting from three-point distance.
