KANSAS CITY, Mo. --- After a dominating performance in last week's series opener against No. 17 Central Missouri, Washburn Ichabod right-hander Josh Ramirez was named MIAA Pitcher of the Week for the Week of Feb. 26, as announced by the conference office.
 
The Denver, Colorado native tossed seven and two-third scoreless innings in a 3-0 win over the Mules. Ramirez held UCM to a collective .120 hitting and surrendered just three hits, while striking out six. Ramirez's dominance showed as he retired 14 of 18 batters from the third to seventh innings including four strikeouts.
 
This is Ramirez's first-ever MIAA weekly award and is also the first conference accolade for an Ichabod this season.
