freshman pole vaulter Rachael Mayberry broke her own school record and topped the best finish at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships by tying for ninth place on Friday. Mayberry's mark of 3.82m/12-06.25 topped her school record she notched at the MIAA Indoor Championships two weeks ago. Her previous best of 3.81m/12-06.00. Mayberry was one of six pole vaulters to be eliminated at the 3.82m mark, but her number of misses on lower heights pushed her to ninth overall. The ninth-place finish was the best finish by any Ichabod track and field athlete at the NCAA Indoor Championships topping the 11^th-place finish by Allexis Menghini at the 2017 Championships.
