Hinton won the weight throw at the MSSU Lion Open with a school record mark of 19.65m/64-05.75 beating his own Ichabod mark of 19.27m en route to the meet title. The mark was also an NCAA Provisional mark. It was the best throw in the MIAA this season and the third best in the region and the 10th-best in the D2 ranks this season.
