Klemz was the top finishing collegiate runner taking second place overall at the Grand Valley State University Big Meet on Friday afternoon out of 209 competitors in the 5000m run. Klemz's time of 14:12.49 topped his own school record by more than 13 seconds and it was an NCAA Provisional qualifying mark as well. As of today, it is the eighth-fastest time in the NCAA Division II ranks this season. The winner of the 5000m run was Mitchell Klingler, who was running unattached in Playmakers Racing Team in a time of 14:08.57.
