Sierra Mortensen turned in the best MIAA Championship performance in Washburn women’s cross country history as she placed fifth in the conference race on Sat., Oct. 26 in Joplin, Mo. She finished the 6k course with a time of 21:46.0 to earn all-MIAA honors for the third season in a row. Mortensen’s time on Saturday broke her own previous record as the fastest 6k time in Washburn’s all-time record book.
