Winter Henry joined the Washburn softball team in 2019 and has started all 78 games she’s played. She holds a career batting average of .342 with 80 hits and has scored 36 runs while driving in 34 more. Henry was named to the all-MIAA second-team as a utility/non-pitcher after her junior season. In 27 games played in the 2020 season, Henry had a .380 batting average with 30 hits, 14 runs, and 14 RBI. She recorded her first Washburn home run in grand fashion as she cleared the bases with a grand slam against Arkansas Tech on Feb. 16. Henry is from Westmoreland, Kan., and is majoring in entrepreneurship and innovation.
