Peter Shearer has played two seasons with Washburn baseball after transferring from Feather River College and Chico State. He has made 49 starts in 58 total appearances for the Ichabods holding a career batting average of .281 and has recorded 47 hits with 19 going for extra bases. Shearer has scored 32 runs and driven in 28 more. In the Apr. 12-14 series against Fort Hays State last year, he went a combined 6-for-12 at the plate with a home run, two doubles, four RBI, five runs scored, and stole home plate. The Montrose, Colo. native is majoring in physics.
