Brock Gilliam did not allow a Griffon runner on base until the fifth inning as the Washburn starter went 6.0 innings and gave up just one walk and one single in the fifth in the combined 8-0 shutout win at Missouri Western on Saturday. Gilliam recorded a career-high 12 strikeouts and faced a combined six batters between the second and third innings and struck out five of them.
