Live Statistics of Truman Match

The Lady Blues jumped up two more spots to No. 5 in the CSTV/AVCA national poll released Monday, setting a school record for the highest ranking. Washburn (20-1, 5-0 MIAA) will take it's first ever top-five ranking and a 15-match winning streak on the road to play at No. 6 Truman (17-3, 5-0 MIAA) Tuesday at 7 p.m. Washburn and Truman are the only MIAA teams undefeated in conference play.

Washburn will be looking to go 6-0 to open MIAA play for the first time in school history and head coach Chris Herron will enter the match one win short of tying the school record for career wins. Herron has 166 wins in his sixth year while Linda Moley reached 167 wins from 1982-86 at Washburn.

The Lady Blues have been in the national poll every week since the start of the 2004 season, a total of 46 straight weeks. They have been in the top 10 in 21 of those weeks, including the past four.

Along with WU and TSU, three other MIAA teams are ranked. Central Missouri is seventh, Pittsburg State is 13th and Emporia State is 23rd.

Washburn is 3-0 this year against nationally-ranked teams, having played one top-25 team in each of the last three weeks.

After taking on the Bulldogs, the Lady Blues will return home to host the Premier Mortgage Lady Blues Fall Classic. The 10-team tournament will be played on two courts in Lee Arena on Friday and Saturday. Included in the field are No. 6 Truman and No. 17 West Texas A&M. The Lady Buffs will play Washburn Saturday at 4 p.m.
