MARYVILLE, Mo. - Two Lady Blues hit over .500 and No. 7 Washburn hit .380 as a team in a 3-1 (30-14, 30-26, 28-30, 30-15) win at Northwest Missouri State Tuesday night. The Lady Blues improved to 16-1 and won their 11th straight match. They will return to MIAA action with a 7 p.m. match Friday against No. 12 Pittsburg State in Lee Arena.
Stephanie Nitz hit .611 with 13 kills and two errors in 18 attempts and
Mandi Cox hit .538 with 15 kills and just one error in 26 attempts.
Tessa Jones, last week's AVCA national player of the week, had a double-double with 15 kills and 12 digs and
Monica Miesner had her seventh double-double of the year with 11 kills and 14 digs.

Kate Hampson helped lead Washburn to a season-high .380 attack percentage behind 54 assists and she added a double-double with 11 digs. Libero
Erica Cowhick led the team with 23 digs while Nitz led the attackers with four assisted blocks.
Washburn opened the match by hitting .367 in the first game and .395 in the second game to race off to a 2-0 start. The Bearcats took game three in a close contest and then Washburn hit .520 in game four while NWMSU hit just .029 to lead to a 30-15 WU win in the clinching game.
