Mario Scott led the team with 18 points and had nine assists but the Ichabods fell, 83-76 to No. 6 Central Oklahoma in the final game of the Bronchos OSSO Thanksgiving Classic Saturday night. Washburn (3-2) will now return home and start the MIAA season Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. against conference newcomer Nebraska-Omaha.

Scott was 5-of-13 from the field with two 3-pointers and he was 6-of-8 from the free throw line. Lekheythan Malone and Darnell Kimble had 13 points while James Williams had 11.

Washburn shot 44 percent from the field and 50 percent (11-of-22) from 3-point range. The Bronchos (7-0) were 46 percent overall and from 3-point range.

Kimble led the Ichabods with seven rebounds and he blocked three shots.

The Ichabods were out-rebounded 48-31 and Lance Harper led UCO with 23 points.


Notes
• Mario Scott and James Williams started at guard for Washburn while Paul Byers, Lekheythan Malone and Darnell Kimble started in forward. This is the second straight time they have started as a group and they are 0-2.
• Washburn fell to 7-12 all-time against UCO and has lost four of the last five. UCO is now 2-2 against Washburn in Edmond.
