TOPEKA, Kan. -- The No. 24 Washburn Ichabod tennis team one-upped the No. 23 ranked Southwest Baptist netters in a 5-4 win. Washburn improves to 6-4, 1-0 in the MIAA. The Ichabods will be back in action on Monday against Rockhurst starting at 3 p.m.

The Ichabods were down 2-1 after singles play as the No. 1 team of Rutger Vliegenberg and Andrew Plum picked up an 8-3 win. Washurn picked up wins at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 6 singles before Plum wrapped up the match for the Ichabods taking his match 7-5, 6-3 over Daniel Prerad at No. 5 singles.
