OMAHA, Neb. -- The Washburn Lady Blues tennis team held off a doubles rally by Nebraska-Omaha and picked up a 5-4 win over UNO to improve to 8-2 overall and 4-0 in the MIAA. On Saturday, the Lady Blues will face Northwest Missouri, who is 5-0 in MIAA play.

Because of the number of courts available, the two teams played singles first with the Lady Blues taking a 4-2 lead. Nebraska-Omaha came back in doubles play to take two of the matches to tie the score at 4-4, but the No. 2 doubles team of Alyssa Castillo and Whitley Zitsch recorded an 8-6 win over Heather Hottman and Samantha Thomas to wrap up the victory for the Lady Blues.
