Scene Setter
The Washburn Lady Blues will host Truman and Lindenwood in weekend action in Yager Stadium starting with the Bulldogs on Friday night at 6 p.m. On Sunday, Washburn will entertain Lindenwood in the first meeting between the two schools with first touch to begin at 2 p.m.

Story lines
• Washburn is -8 in goals overall this season, but +3 in MIAA matches.
• Washburn head coach Tim Collins is 3-14-2 against Truman and he has never faced Lindenwood.
• Junior Caysie Beetley and senior Leah Talley lead the team with five goals each. Beetley leads the Lady Blues with four assists and 14 points overall.
• Talley has two of the three match-winning goals for Washburn.
• Seniors Tia Stovall has three goals and senior Lindsey Lambert and freshman Carlee Seitz have also scored goals this season.
• Sophomore Tori Fuglister has played 970 minutes in goal allowing 18 goals with 65 saves and a 1.67 goal against average.
• Fuglister picked up her first shutout win in the victory over Emporia State earlier this season. Sophomore Jenna Lack picked up the win over Nebraska-Kearney in the 7-1 victory.
• Washburn has outshot has been outshot this season 177 to 122.
• Talley is tied for second in the Washburn program's history with six match-winning goals … her 42 career points is sixth all-time at Washburn and her eight assists is tied for ninth all-time for the Lady Blues.
• Stovall is tied for third all-time with 15 career assists and tied for fifth with five match-winning goals …her 35 career points is tied for eight all-time at Washburn.
• Senior Tia Stovall was a second team all-MIAA pick for the third season in a row.
• Senior Leah Talley was an honorable mention all-MIAA pick in 2011 and 2010 after earning second team all-MIAA honors as a freshman.
• The Lady Blues were picked 12th in the MIAA's preseason coaches poll.

MARYVILLE, Mo. -- The Washburn soccer team fell in the final minutes as Northwest Missouri scored a late goal to secure a 1-0 win over the Lady Blues.
The match was scoreless until the 84:25 mark of the match when Anna Holden scored the lone goal of the day on an assist from Fiona Moloney for the winning goal in the 1-0 win.
Washburn (3-9) was outshot 20-10 in the match including 12 to 5 in the second half by the Bearcats (7-3-2).
Leah Talley had three shots for the lady Blues and Carlee Seitz and Bailey Wobig each had two for Washburn. Sietz had two shots on goals for Washburn.
Tori Fuglister had 12 saves in net for Washburn facing 20 shots on the afternoon.    

About Truman
• Truman will carry a +19 overall (+13 MIAA) goal differential into the weekend contests, headlined by junior Trisha Shoemaker's nine goals and 21 points.
• Alexis Heffernan, backed by her own four-goal week, now ranks second on the squad with five goals, with senior Kelsey Twellman ranking third with four.
• Junior keeper Emily Bozdeck maintained her hold on top MiAA goalie numbers, as her 0.57 goals-against average and eight shutouts lead all league keepers. the Bulldogs rank fourth in the nation with a 66.7% shutout rate in matches (8 shutouts in 12 matches) as well as 18th in GAA.
• Mike Cannon is in his 20th season at the controls of the women's soccer program at Truman and has a career record of 262-92-38. He ranks seventh all-time in NCAA Div. II history in wins, and his teams have won 10 or more matches in 17 straight seasons.

Series history with Truman
• Washburn trails the all-time series 3-14-2.
• Washburn is 2-5-1 in matches played against the Bulldogs in Topeka.
• Washburn's last win in the series came on Oct. 13, 2007 - a streak of nine games.
• Washburn did pick up a 1-1 tie on Sept. 30, 2010 in Topeka.
• Washburn has been outscored 35 to 12 in the 19 matches.
• Friday's meeting will be the last between the two schools in the MIAA regular season as the Bulldogs are leaving the conference to join the Great Lakes Valley Conference next school year.

Last Meeting with the Bulldogs (Oct. 13, 2011)
KIRKSVILLE, Mo. -- The Washburn Lady Blues soccer team was outshot 24 to 6 in a 3-0 loss to Truman State on Thursday afternoon in Kirksville.
Washburn (1-11-2, 1-4-1 MIAA) was held to three shots in the first half while the Bulldogs (7-4-2, 5-0-0 MIAA) attempted 16 on Lady Blues' starting goalkeeper Malorie Monhollon, who recorded four saves in the first 45 minutes facing 15 shots before being replaced by Tori Fuglister, who recorded three saves facing eight shots in the second half.
In the second half, Washburn had three shots - with one on goal - but could not put any past Truman's Emily Bozdeck.
Laurn Henry had two shots for Washburn, as did Lindsey Lambert. Tia Stovall recorded the lone shot on goal for the Lady Blues. Truman attempted 10 shots on goal overall.  

About Lindenwood
• The Lions are 4-6-1 overall and 0-6-0 in the MIAA entering a match with Emporia State on Friday.
• In their last match, the Lions lost at Truman 5-0.
• Lindenwood's last win came on Oct. 4 beating Missouri Valley 5-1.
• Lindenwood has been outshot 106 to 64.
• Bailey Cody and Courtney Bresnahan each have five goals while Cody has added four assists as well.
• Jade Davis has played 758 minutes in goal allowing 1.66 per match with 62 saves going 3-5-1 in net with two shutouts.

• Sunday's meeting will be the first between the two teams.

Washburn will travel to Missouri Southern on Oct. 19 for its final road game of the year. Washburn will then face RMAC foe Western State on Oct. 21 before wrapping up the regular season with Central Oklahoma on Oct. 26 and Northeastern State on Oct. 28. The MIAA Tournament begins for the top eight in the final standings on Oct. 30.
