DENTON, Texas -- The Washburn Lady Blues fell in their final game of the Best Western Premier Spring Fling hosted by Texas Woman's University dropping a 9-3 decision to Texas A&M International. Washburn will be back in action March 3 at the Zenner Classic hosted by Missouri Southern.

The Lady Blues (1-7) took a 2-0 lead after the first inning scoring a pair of unearned runs but the Dustdevils scored three runs in the second and two more in the third with a solo run in the fourth to open up a 6-2 lead. International added three more in the top of the seventh. The Lady Blues sccored one in the bottom of the seventh on an RBI single by Kayla Olham scoring Katie Schroeder.
