The Washburn Lady Blues will continue their four game road trip this weekend when they will take on Fort Hays State on Friday in Hays and then at MIAA newcomer Nebraska-Kearney in Kearney for the first meeting between the two schools.

• Washburn snapped a seven-match losing streak dating back to last season in its 1-0 win over Emporia State on Sept. 14.
• Washburn also snapped a 16-match winless streak. Prior to the win over ESU, the Lady Blues' last win was a 2-0 win over Fort Hays State on Feb. 17, 2011, their only win from last season.
• The Lady Blues were picked 12th in the MIAA's preseason coaches poll.

Tim Collins is 1-1 against Fort Hays State and he has never coached against Nebraska-Kearney.

BOLIVAR, Mo. -- The Lady Blues gave up a goal in the 85th minute as they fell 1-0 at Southwest Baptist in MIAA action.
Karla Jamison scored at 84:57 on an unassisted goal as she worked the ball down the sideline and through the Washburn defense. She ended up putting five shots on goal and the Bearcats had eight total. Washburn goalkeeper
Tori Fuglister stopped all but one of them.
Washburn (1-6, 1-2 MIAA) also had eight shots on goal and total shots were 17-15 in favor of SBU.
Caysie Beetley led Washburn with four shots and two on goal.
Lindsey Lambert had three shots and was one of three others to put one on goal.
The Bearcats could have put more offensive pressure on but they were whistled for offsides seven times while Washburn committed no violations.

HAYS, Kan. -- The Washburn Lady Blues saw their 2011 season come to an end with a 2-0 loss at Fort Hays State in a non-conference match up. Washburn ends the season 1-14-3 overall and 1-5-1 in conference play.
The Tigers scored 1:56 into the match when Rachel Wiesen scored her second goal of the season on an assist from Joanne Glynn. The Tigers added a second goal in the 35th minute when Glynn scored her ninth goal of the season on an assist from Margaret Meier.
Washburn was out shot 15 to 7 in the match including the Tigers holding a 5 to 1 advantage in the second half.
Danielle Curtis had two of the Lady Blues' three shots on goal.
Tori Schimming attempted the other for the Lady Blues.
Mallorie Monhollon had five saves in net for Washburn.
The match was the final Lady Blues appearances for seniors
Lauren Henry and
Kelsey Raiman.
