Courtney Churchman reached double figures in digs as Washburn swept Central Oklahoma 25-15, 25-16, 25-17 Saturday on Senior Day.

The 22nd-ranked Ichabods improved to 28-4 overall and will head into the final week of the regular season tied for first in the MIAA with Central Missouri with a 13-1 record. The Ichabods will play at third-place Nebraska-Kearney Tuesday at 7 and wrap up the regular season Friday at 7 p.m. Two wins would clinch at least a share of Washburn's third MIAA title in four years.

Marissa Cox had 11 kills and hit .409 to lead Washburn.
Leanna Willer had nine kills and Stringer had eight. Lewis led Washburn with 25 digs and Churchman had 11.
Hannah Frierdich led the Ichabods with four blocks.

Central Oklahoma hit negative in the first and third set. Washburn trailed once the entire match after the Bronchos (20-9, 8-7 MIAA) scored the first point of the night. Washburn used a 9-0 run late in the first set to pull away and then closed the set on a 4-0 run. The Ichabods scored the first three points of the second set and the first four of the fourth set and never looked back.

Washburn hit .211 as a team while the Bronchos hit just .015 as a team. Washburn had 42 kills while the Bronchos had 27. Washburn won in digs, 68-60 and in blocks, 6-4.

Barbara Jackson led the Bronchos with 12 kills.

Wittman, Lewis and Churchman joined Stringer and
Sami McHenry as they were honored before the match in their final regular season home match. They will host at home at least one more time in the MIAA tournament.
