EDMOND, Okla. – The Ichabods dropped the last two sets of a back-and-forth match in a 3-2 (24-26, 25-19, 21-25, 25-16, 15-12) loss Friday night at Central Oklahoma.

Washburn fell to 20-5 overall and 12-5 in the MIAA as the 10th-ranked Ichabods split the season series with the Bronchos (24-4, 13-4). The Ichabods will wrap up their five-match road trip Saturday at 2 p.m. at Missouri Southern.

Sarah Vicory set a career high with 24 kills and she hit .579 with two errors in 38 swings.
Leanna Willer had a double-double with 14 kills and 21 digs and
Marissa Cox had 10 kills.
Alyssa Carney led five total players with double-figure digs with 27 in the match.

Natalie Bates set career highs with 54 assists and 16 digs. Cox and Vicory tied for the team lead with four blocks.

Washburn fell behind 3-0 in the fifth set and never rebounded. Two straight kills from Willer got the Ichabods within one at 8-7 but the Bronchos scored five of the next six points to go up 13-8. Washburn fought back with three straight points but the Bronchos got to match point with a kill from Barbara Jackson and then she clinched the match after one more Washburn point. She ended the match with 31 kills.

The Bronchos hit .236 in the match while Washburn had just a .158 percentage. UCO didn't give up the lead the entire fourth or fifth set.
