First serve . . . •   The Washburn Ichabod women's tennis team will take on the Rockhurst University Hawks on Thursday in Kansas City.
•   The Ichabods picked up their first win of the season last time out in a 9-0 win over Lincoln opening MIAA play.
•   Rockhurst is 3-5 this season and has lost to Emporia State 9-0 and then beat Missouri Western last time out 6-3 on March 9.

Casyn Buchman has rejoined the Ichabod tennis team and played No. 1 against Lincoln picking up a 6-3, 6-3 win in her first match since the conclusion of the Washburn basketball season.
 Drop shots . . . •   The Ichabods have gone 31-45 so far this season in three tournaments and the six dual matches this season.Â

Casyn Buchman leads the team with seven singles wins this season going 7-3 overall and 1-0 in dual matches.

Jodie Blackim and
Maria Moral Carretero each have five singles wins this season and
Maggie Plum has four wins.
•   As a team the Ichabods are 17-15 in doubles this year play going 9-5 in tournament action in the fall and 8-10 in dual matches.
•   In doubles the Ichabods overall this season,
Jodie Blackim and
Casyn Buchman were 6-1 combined in tournament play.
 Coaching . . . Former Ichabod tennis player
Lance Lysaught is in his first season as the Ichabod head coach. He started the Ottawa tennis program from scratch going 11-17 for the Braves. Overall he is 12-22 as a collegiate head coach and 1-5 in his first season at Washburn.
