KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Washburn Ichabod women's tennis team fell 6-3 to the Rockhurst Hawks on Thursday in Kansas City. Washburn returns to the courts on March 27 against Concordia (Neb.) at the Washburn Tennis Complex.

The Ichabods trailed 2-1 at the end of doubles after the duo of Casyn Buchman and Kirsten Holle won their match 8-5 at No. 1.

Washburn also picked up points at No. 2 singles when Jodie Blackim won her match 6-0, 7-5 over Fabi Juarez and then Gwen Shepler won her match at No. 6 singles 7-6, 6-2 over Maddy Kayser.
