First serve . . . • The No. 44-ranked Washburn Ichabod men's tennis team will wrap up the regular season hosting Lindenwood on Friday at the Washburn Tennis Complex.
• The Ichabods (4-9, 0-4 MIAA) will be looking to solidify their position for the upcoming MIAA Tournament which starts on April 24 in Springfield, Mo., which all six tennis-playing teams in the league qualify for.
• The Ichabods are coming off a 5-4 loss at Emporia State on Tuesday and a 6-3 loss to Northwest Missouri on Monday.
• Lindenwood is 4-11 this season and 0-2 in the MIAA and has matches at Emporia State and at home against Northwest Missouri to finish the regular season.
• The Ichabods were ranked No. 6 in the latest ITA Regional Poll and
Martin Wieand was ranked No. 16 in the ITA Central Regional singles rankings and
Blake Hunter was ranked No. 19.
Drop shots . . . • The Ichabods are 61-61 in singles play this season and have gone 20-34 in doubles play this year.

Blake Hunter leads the Ichabods with 16 singles wins going 16-7 and
Martin Wieand has 15 singles wins with a 15-7 record.
Matt Barlow has a 14-7 singles record winning a team-high 10 dual single matches.
• In doubles play, the duo of
Matt Barlow and
Blake Hunter are 10-8 while the team of
Trey Horton and
Martin Wieand are 6-10 this season.
• Both Hunter and Wieand reached the quarterfinals of the ITA Regional Tennis Tournament last fall in Springfield in singles play.
Coaching . . . Former Ichabod tennis player
Lance Lysaught is in his first season as the Ichabod head coach. He started the Ottawa tennis program from scratch going 9-21 for the Braves. Overall he is 13-30 as a collegiate head coach in third season and 4-9 in his first season at Washburn.
