HAYS, Kan. -- The Washburn Ichabod women's team won 2 of 3 doubles matches and rolled to a 7-2 win at Fort Hays State on Friday. Washburn returns to play at Central Oklahoma on Monday in Edmond.

The No. 1 doubles team of Jodie Blackim and Casyn Buchman picked up an 8-3 win over Camille Caron-Bedard and Reinette Strydom. At No. 2 doubles Maggie Plum and Gwen Shepler topped Brittney Ricci and Katie Hipp 8-2.

In singles play, Buchman topped Caron-Bedard 6-0, 6-4 at No. 1 singles and Blackim beat Ricci 6-0, 6-2 at No. 2 singles. Maria Moral-Carretero picked up a 6-1, 6-0 win over Strydom at No. 4 singles while Shepler knocked off Hipp 6-1, 6-2 at No. 5 singles and Ashlynn Sutton won her match at No. 6 singles 6-3, 6-0 over Jessica Johnson.
