Washburn tennis head coach Lance Lysaught has announced 11 signees for the 2015-16 season.  Six incoming student-athletes are set to join the women's tennis squad, while five will be added to the men's team.

Held No. 1 spot in junior and senior seasons … was a state qualifier, district and sectional champion in 2013-14 … was a district finalist at No. 2 (sophomore) and No. 3 (freshman) … was National Honors Society Vice President … four-year letterwinner in tennis … plans to major in pre-med or kinesiology… son of Debby and Ed Clausen … has one brother, Matt, and one sister, Brooke.

As a senior he finished second in the state class 5A tournament recording 139 career wins which rank first all-time at Salina Central … also named honorable mention all-league in soccer … as a junior he took first place in the class 5A state tournament in doubles … as a sophomore he finished second in state in doubles and finished sixth as a freshman in doubles … part of two state championship tennis teams … son of Frank and Isabelle Richard-Hampton … anticipated major is business.
Lysaught on Hampton: "Zach adds another talented player to our incoming freshman class. Hampton is a lefty with a dynamic serve which gives WU Tennis another south paw to contribute to the men's side and his singles and doubles success gives us needed depth to the squad."
