KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Washburn men's tennis has won a third straight MIAA/GAC North Division Athlete of the Week honor presented by ClassicCourt, this time with Tommy Cecchetti earning the honor. It is the fourth overall honor for the Ichabod men this season and the first for Cecchetti.  

Tommy Cecchetti helped the Ichabods to a 2-0 week with road wins over two ranked opponents. He went 4-0 on the week in singles and doubles play. He and Pavlos Parson went 2-0 at No. 2 doubles including a 6-0 win over No. 11 ranked Moritz Buss and Aaron Osmond of Ouachita Baptist. He also won a pair of two-set singles matches over the Tigers and Muleriders playing at No. 2 and No. 3 singles. 

No. 8 Washburn returns to action next on Friday, March 27 taking on Newman in Wichita, Kan. beginning at 3 p.m.
