ST. CHARLES, Mo. -- The No. 25-ranked Washburn Ichabods improved to 9-3 and 2-0 in the MIAA after beating Lindenwood 6-3 on Saturday afternoon. Washburn is back in action at Northwest Missouri on Monday.

The Ichabods were up 2-1 after doubles as Blake Hunter and Alejandro Valarezo Plaza beat Filip Bogic and Naofual El Idrissi 8-1 and Matt Barlow and Zach Hampton beat Michele Gaspari and Adrian Beloqui 8-1 at No. 2 doubles.

Washburn picked up wins in singles as Barlow defeated El Idrissi 6-4, 6-3 at No. 2 singles and Hunter topped Theo Butaeye 6-1, 3-6, 6-3 at No. 3 singles. Zach Hampton defeated Tudor Ghenea 6-3, 6-2 and Will Agritelley turned back Slobodan Bavrlic 6-3, 1-6, 11-9.
