JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- Washburn senior second basemen
Taylor Zimmerman tied a school record with three home runs in the first game and added another in the second as Washburn swept Lincoln winning 13-1 and 9-1 taking both games in five innings.
In the doubleheader, Zimmerman finished with 11 RBI scoring five runs with five hits giong 5 for 6 overall and
Erin Keeney was 6 for 7 with five runs scored.
Washburn improves to 6-4 on the season and 2-0 in the MIAA and will be at Lindenwood for another MIAA twinbill on Saturday.
Game 1 - Washburn 13, Lincoln 1In the opener, Zimmerman became the fourth Ichabod to hit three home runs in a single game joining Tish Williams, Dani White and
Lauren Thimmesch to accomplish the feat while tying a school record with 7 RBI in the game becoming the fifth Ichabod to drive in seven in a game.

Sierra Kemp who singled. Washburn exploded for three more in the third on Zimmerman's first home run of the day was a three-run shot scoring
Cassidy Merriman and Keeney who singled. In the fourth, Merriman doubled and then scored on Keeney's double. Zimmerman hit her second home run, a two-run shot scoring Keeney. Quimby also had a 2-RBI single in the inning as the Ichabods scored six in the frame. In the fifth inning, Zimmerman hit her third home run with another two-run blast sending Washburn to the 13-1 run as the Ichabods pounded out 18 hits.
Samantha Carson struck out three in the win giving up an unearned run scattering four hits.
Zimmerman was 3 for 4 with 7 RBI and three runs scored in the opener and Keeney was 4 for 4 with 2 RBI and three runs scored. Quimby drove in three runs with two hits and
Sierra Kemp had two hits.
Game 2 - Washburn 9, Lincoln 1 (5 innings)Washburn took a 4-0 lead after its first at bat when Zimmerman hit her fourth home run of the day scoring Keeney who had an RBI double. Merriman added a sac fly scoring Stegman who singled. In the third inning, Zimmerman picked up two more RBI and
Lacie Myers had an RBI single putting Washburn up 7-1. The Ichabods added two more in the fourth on a two-run homer by Merriman.
Ashley Wills struck out four in the win giving up three hits and a run in the circle.
Zimmerman drove in four runs in the nightcap scoring twice going 2 for 2. Quimby, Stegman, Merriman and Keeney all had two hits in the win.
