ST. CHARLES, Mo. --- The Washburn Ichabod baseball team dropped an 8-2 decision in the series finale at Lindenwood on Saturday at the Lou Brock Sports Complex. With the result, the Ichabods slid to 19-20 overall and 11-17 against conference opponents.

WU was held scoreless until the seventh when
Logan Twehous and
Darian Abram registered runs in consecutive plays. Twehous was the first to cross home plate as he was driven in with a triple from Abram, who later plated the second run with help from
Landon Hay.

The Lions then capitalized on a pair of Washburn errors in the second to secure an early 1-0 lead. LWU then assumed a four-run margin by plating three in the fourth before tacking on two runs in the fifth to take a 6-0 lead.

After the Washburn runs in the top half of seventh, Lindenwood answered in the eighth with a pair of runs pushing its lead to 8-2.

Washburn starter
Josh Ramirez was charged with the loss as he surrendered five runs on five hits while working four innings. Ramirez also tossed three strikeouts and three walks.
Maustin Otterstatter then appeared in the fifth while
Ryne Dowling worked the final the final three frames.

Bowe Behymer had his second-straight multiple hit game with a 2-for-3 outing at the plate.
Tanner Triggs also had a couple hits including a double in the eighth. Abram had a hit and drew a walk to accompany his run.

The Ichabods continue their road swing on Tuesday, Apr. 18 for game of their series with Emporia State.
