PARKVILLE, Mo. -- The Washburn men's junior varsity team had a strong opening half against Park University's JV squad that helped them claim a 77-66 road victory Monday night. Four different Ichabod players notched double digit points in the winning effort. Washburn is now 3-1 on the season.
Washburn leaders
- JoBreil Powell and Michael Juneman scored 17 points apiece.
- Tommy Ekart hit three of Washburn's ten 3-pointers on his way to totaling 14 points. He also grabbed seven rebounds and three steals.
- Just two rebounds shy of a double-double, Christian Scheopner netted a dozen points and pulled down eight boards. He also hit three 3-pointers.
- Tristin Dierking-Lewis and Jacob Spiegel each chipped in six points and added one steal.
The Ichabods will face the Pirates again next Monday, Nov. 26, this time on their home court in Lee Arena. The game is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off.
