TOPEKA, Kan. -- The Washburn men's junior varsity team led by as many as 13 points in the second half, but couldn't hold on as the Baker Wildcats varsity reserves team clawed its way back by outscoring the Ichabods 13-3 in the final 2:51 of the game. Baker drained a three-pointer with 10 seconds remaining to take the lead and eventually the victory, 67-66. The Ichabods fall to 3-2 on the season, with both of their losses coming at home to Baker.

Washburn leaders

• JoBreil Powell scored a team-high 16 points. He also dished out a team-best four assists.
• Tommy Ekart notched a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. He had a strong second half as he scored 10 of his points in that period.
• Powell and Ekart were a perfect 4-for-4 from the charity stripe.
• Spenser Wine went 3-8 from the floor, hitting three triples. He finished the game with 10 points.
• Grabbing seven rebounds apiece, Michael Juneman also added nine points and Christian Scheopner chipped in seven points. 
• The Ichabods shot 50% from the field in the first half, going 14-28.

The Ichabods will play next at the Johnson County Community College Classic with their first game against Highland Community College on Friday, Nov. 30. The game in Overland Park, Kan., is scheduled for a 5 p.m. tilt.
