TOPEKA, Kan. -- The Washburn women's junior varsity team was in total control of the game Monday night as the Ichabods handled Missouri Valley's varsity reserves team, 89-37. Five Washburn players recorded double digit scores in the victory. The Ichabods are now 2-1 on the season.

Washburn leaders

• Hayley Thompson led the team with 21 points after going 9-15 from the field.
• Teagan Simmons achieved a double-double as she notched 16 points and 11 rebounds.
• Leading the team with seven assists, Adyson Narber added 14 points.
• Also chipping in double digits, Kenya Medlock and Anna Hill scored 11 and 10 points, respectively.
• Jordan Lenherr brought down 14 rebounds and snatched four steals.

The Ichabods will play Labette Community College next in Parsons, Mo. The game is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.
