PARSONS, Kan. -- The Washburn women's junior varsity team held Labette Community College to just 17 second half points en route to a 59-52 victory Wednesday night. The victory gives the Ichabods a 3-1 overall record this season.
Washburn leaders
- Hayley Thompson had an incredible night on the hardwood, shooting 12-22 from the field and racking up 25 points.
- Kenya Medlock added 13 points to the cause and snatched three steals.
- Morgan Holloway shot 50% from the field and was 2-3 from behind the arc on her way to tallying eight points.
- On the boards, Jordan Lenherr and Adyson Narber grabbed nine and eight rebounds, respectively.
- Narber also made three steals.
The Ichabods will return to Lee Arena to host Highland Community College on Friday, Nov. 30. The game is scheduled for a 6 p.m. tip-off.
