Box Score OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- The Washburn men's junior varsity team (3-3) took on the undefeated Highland Community College Scotties (10-0) at the Johnson County Community College Classic on Friday evening. The Scotties led 60-38 at halftime and never relinquished their lead as they defeated the Ichabods 107-78. Despite the loss, the Ichabods had four double-figure scorers.
Washburn leaders
- Tommy Ekart tallied a team-high 21 points after shooting 7-13 from the field and a perfect 4-4 from the charity stripe. He also handed out a team-high six assists.
- Michael Juneman went 4-7 from behind the arc and totaled 14 points in the contest. Additionally, he dished out four assists.
- Spenser Wine and Christian Scheopner also reached double digits, scoring 12 and 11 points, respectively.
- Scheopner pulled down five rebounds.
- Wine blocked two shot attempts.
The Ichabods will conclude their time at the JCCC Classic tomorrow afternoon. Washburn will play the host school at 4 p.m.
