TOPEKA, Kan. -- With the score tied at halftime, the Washburn women's junior varsity team opened up the game with a 25 point third quarter while holding Fort Scott Community College to just 22 points for the entire second half as the Ichabods won 73-54. Washburn is now 5-2 on the season.
Washburn leaders
- Adyson Narber led all scorers with 23 points on 10-of-19 shooting from the field. She also handed out four assists.
- Hayley Thompson notched a double-double. She scored 14 points and pulled down 10 rebounds. She also led all players with four steals on the night.
- Kenya Medlock went 4-9 from behind the arc on her way to scoring 17 points.
- Jordan Lenherr had nine boards and four assists.
- Washburn was 5-of-8 from distance in the third quarter.
- Sam Mallonee recorded the lone block for the Ichabods and chipped in six points.
The Ichabods will wrap up the week by traveling to Overland Park, Kan., to take on Johnson County Community College. The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. tilt.
