TOPEKA, Kan. -- The Washburn women's junior varsity team held a one point advantage at halftime, but struggled to score after the break and only made 7-of-37 shot attempts while Johnson County Community College compiled 21 points in the final quarter to claim the victory, 64-54. The Ichabods are now 5-3 on the season.
Washburn leaders
- Jordan Lenherr led the way with 14 points, hitting 4-of-6 from behind the arc. She also was the only Ichabod to block a shot attempt.
- Adyson Narber and Hayley Thompson both scored 10 points apiece.Â
- Narber dished out three assists and pulled down six rebounds.Â
- Sam Mallonee also grabbed six boards and made two steals in addition to her five points.
- Kenya Medlock, Baylie Sigmund, Thompson and Lenherr all recorded five rebounds.
The Ichabods will return to the court after the new year and host the University of Saint Mary's (Kan.) JV squad. The game in Lee Arena is scheduled for Jan. 14 at 6 p.m.
