EDMOND, Okla. --- The Washburn Ichabods struggled Saturday as it fell 11-2 to Central Oklahoma in game two of the series.
Jake Bublitz tied the game in the second with a RBI double to left field allowing
Javis Larson to comfortably cross home following his lead-off double. Washburn then scored again in the in fourth on a solo home run from
Josh Crosby, his fifth of the year.
UCO broke open the game in the top half of the fourth as it plated five. The Bronchos notched one run in the first, sixth, seventh, and eighth, while tacking two on in the ninth.
Washburn finished with four hits and five walks, while leaving five runners on base.
Tanner Strickbine was dealt the loss moving him to 1-1 on the year. Strickbine surrendered six runs on nine hits, while striking out three, in four innings of work.
Jack Christian made a four-inning relief appearance with three runs on four hits, while
Braden Larkey worked the ninth.
Washburn will close the series with Central Oklahoma on Monday at 1 pm.
