ORLANDO, Fla. – The Washburn women's tennis team fell in its second straight match Thursday, losing 8-1 to No. 10 Saint Leo (Fla.).

In doubles action, the No. 1 team of Alexis Czapinski and Logan Morrissey was the lone match-decision for the Ichabods. They beat Saint Leo's No. 1 team 8-6. The No. 2 team of Jacqueline Engelbrecht and Alysha Nowacki took the Lions No. 2 counterparts to a ninth game, ultimately coming up short, 9-7.

In singles action, the Lions were able to sweep the Ichabods, clinching by the third singles decision.

With the loss, the Ichabods move to 7-4 on the season. They will face another tough opponent on Sunday in Southwest Baptist. The Bearcats are ranked No. 27 in the country and are coming off of an upset win over the University of Indianapolis. The match will be at noon in Topeka.
