TOPEKA, Kan. -- The Washburn Men's Tennis squad took on the Cowley County Community College in a scrimmage match Tuesday afternoon with the Ichabods winning the day 4-3. Washburn tennis is back in action this Friday-Saturday, Sept. 14-15 at the Midwestern State Invitational in Wichita Falls, Texas.
In doubles, the Ichabods took two out of three matches. Alejandro Valarezo and
Paul Haase defeated Angelo Tost and Bruno Suiana 6-4 in the No. 1 slot. At No. 3 doubles,
Raul-Alin Dicu andÂ
Bradley Eidenmueller topped Killion Dagneaux and Nicholas Maugaillard 6-1.
Washburn and Cowley split victories in singles, winning three matches apiece. Haase, Eidenmueller, and
Chase Brill all claimed victories over their opponents.
