TOPEKA, Kan. -- Washburn women's junior varsity team led by just one point after the first quarter, 13-12, but three quarters of reaching at least 20 points pushed the home team past the St. Mary Spires junior varsity squad on Monday evening. Four Ichabods achieved double-digit points in the 74-51 winning effort. Washburn is now 6-3 overall.
Washburn leaders
- Jordan Lenherr was the team's top-scorer and notched a double-double in the process. She was 6-8 from the field on her way to scoring 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
- Lenherr also led the team in steals (five) and blocks (two).
- Adyson Narber tallied 15 points on 5-13 shooting from the floor. She was 3-7 from behind the arc.
- Anna Hill scored 12 points on 4-13 shooting from the field. She made both free throws she attempted.
- Kenya Medlock rounded out the double-figure scorers. She had 11 points and went 4-9 from the floor and 2-4 from the charity stripe.
- Sam Mallonnee pulled down 10 rebounds.
- Baylie Sigmund grabbed two steals.
The final home game of the season will be Wednesday, Jan. 16. It will be held in the Whiting Field House gym at 3:30 p.m. against Labette Community College.
