TOPEKA, Kan. -- The No. 24 Washburn women's tennis team dropped just one game in doubles action and didn't surrender even one game in the first four singles matches played as the Ichabods rolled to a 7-0 sweep over Central College on Tuesday evening. The Ichabods improve to 9-1 on the year and extend their winning streak to four matches.

Washburn quickly grabbed the doubles point with victories on all three courts. The teams of Alexis Czapinski/Logan Morrissey and Svea Crohn/Jacqueline Engelbrecht blanked their opponents 6-0 while MaKenna Gonzales and Ally Burr made their spring debut at No. 3 doubles with a 6-1 win. At No. 1 doubles, Czapinski/Morrissey improve their record to 8-2 while Crohn/Engelbrecht are 6-3 at the No. 2 slot.

The Ichabods continued to dominate in singles play and shutout the Dutch in straight sets at the first four positions down the lineup. Engelbrecht, Czapinski, Morrissey, and Crohn all added to their individual win columns with 6-0, 6-0 victories. At No. 5 singles, Madison Lysaught topped her opponent, 6-0, 6-2. Kinsey Fields completed the scoring for Washburn at the sixth slot with a 6-0, 6-3 win.
 
The Ichabods will play again at home later this week as they host Harding on Friday, March 15. The match is currently scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Washburn Tennis Complex.
