TOPEKA, Kan. -- The Washburn men's tennis team cruised to their second-straight home victory as they shut out Bethel, 7-0, on Tuesday afternoon.

Chase Brill and Miller Zeiders got the match started with a 6-1 win at No. 2 doubles. The tandem of Raul-Alin Dicu and Bradley Eidenmueller clinched the doubles point with a 6-2 win at the top of the lineup. Bethel did not have enough players to field a No. 3 doubles team and Washburn won the point by default.

Miquel Perez won the first singles point at the No. 3 spot with a pair of 6-1 scores. Dicu also won in straight-sets, 6-0, 6-2, at the top of the order. Eidenmueller topped his opponent, 6-3, 6-0, at No. 2 singles and Brill shut out his opponent at the No. 4 spot. Zeiders closed out the afternoon with a shut out of his own on court five. The No. 6 match was won by the Ichabods by default.

The Ichabods will host Tabor College on Friday, March 6, at the Washburn Tennis Complex. First serve is set for 1 p.m.
