MARYVILLE, Mo. – The Washburn Ichabods came up on the wrong end of a shutout dropping a 5-0 decision to Northwest Missouri Friday afternoon in Marvyille. The team will look to get back on track when they travel to Missouri Western on Sunday, October 3.
 
The Bearcats (5-3-1, 1-0-1 MIAA) jumped on the board in the ninth minute when the Ichabods (5-2-1, 1-1-0 MIAA) were whistled for a foul inside the box setting up Northwest with a penalty kick and their first goal. Teagan Blackburn connected on the penalty kick and then and assisted on a goal 10 minutes later. 
 
Northwest's Alex Mausbach put the Bearcats up 3-0 in the 44th minute as the Bearcats entered the half up 3-0.
 
After the half-time break, Northwest Missouri kept up the pace as they extended the lead to 4-0 in the 52nd minute on another penalty kick. An own goal by the Ichabods pushed the final margin to 5-0 in the 67th minute.

The Ichabods were outshot 18 to 13 in the match as Raegan Wells faced 18 shots on goal.  Khloe Schuckman led the Ichabods with three shots on goal and Tera Lynch had two.
