TOPEKA, Kan. – The Washburn Ichabod women's track and field team recorded 12 personal bests, its first NCAA automatic qualifier of the season, a school record as well as three more NCAA provisional qualifiers at the Ichabod Invitational at the Washburn Indoor Athletic Facility on Saturday.
 
Virgi Scardanzan won the pole vault in the facility for the second time this season breaking the school record with an NCAA Automatic Qualifying mark of 4.06 (13-03.75). That mark is the third-best height in NCAA Division II this season. Rachael Mayberry finished second with an NCAA provisional mark of 3.97m (13-00.25).
 
Sierra Mortensen finished fifth in the 5000m run with a mark of 17.23.97 for an NCAA provisional mark and just off her school record mark.a
 
Skyler Saunders was third in the high jump with an NCAA provisional mark of 1.67m (5-05.75).
 
Chia Okoro finished third in the 600-yard run in a time of 1:28.53.
 
The Ichabods are scheduled to return to the Indoor Athletic Facility for the MIAA Track and Field Championships Feb. 27-28.
