TOPEKA, Kan. – The Washburn Ichabods women's track and field team finished the MIAA Indoor Championships with an eighth-place finish scoring 43 points – the most scored by an Ichabod team in the fifth year of the program topping the 30 points scored in 2018 and 2019. Washburn will find out who has qualified for the NCAA National Division II Championships this week.
Sierra Mortensen recorded her second, second-place finish of the weekend recording eight more team points giving her 16 of Washburn's 30 points for the weekend after recording a time of 10:11.06 in the 3000m run.
Lily Johnson finished eighth scoring one point in the same event.
Skyler Saunders finished fourth in the high jump with a mark of 1.64m (5-04.50) adding five points to Washburn's total.
Isabella Hohl earned two points in the 60m finishing seventh and
Lyndsay Stinson had a point in the 400m finishing eighth.
