TOPEKA, Kan. – The No. 17 nationally-ranked Ichabod men's tennis team snapped their three-game win streak as they fell, 4-0, to Southern Arkansas on Saturday afternoon.
The Muleriders took an early advantage as they won two doubles matches to clinch the doubles point. In singles action,
Paul Haase fell from the third spot by scores of 3-6, 3-6.
Raul-Alin Dicu then lost his match by set scores of 3-6, 3-6 at the top of the lineup. Only playing to the clinching point, Southern Arkansas clinched the 4-0 win over Washburn as
Sebastian Pjontek fell to his opponent from the fifth spot by scores of 4-6, 5-7.
The Ichabods now sit at a 9-3 record on the season while the Muleriders improved to 11-4.
Washburn will host the Bethel Threshers on Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Washburn Tennis Complex.
