WICHITA, Kan. – The Washburn Ichabod women's track and field team took a seven-person squad to the Wichita State Open and came back with four top 10 finishes including two who finished in the top two. The Ichabods will be back in action next week at the KT Woodman Combined on Wednesday and Thursday and the UCM Relays on Friday.

Sierra Mortensen finished second in the 3000m steeplechase in a time of 11:04.58 just four seconds off her school record time. Skyler Saunders took second the high jump with a mark of 1.65m (5-05.00).

Tassilyn Bolin was eighth in the pole vault with a mark of 3.21m (10-06.25) and Shelby Edwards was eighth in the javelin with a mark of 39.07 (128-02).
