PITTSBURG, Kan. – The Washburn women's track and field team set or tied five school records on Saturday at the Pittsburg State Tune-Up while adding an NCAA automatic qualifier and several provisional marks in their final action before the MIAA Outdoor Championships starting May 7 in Joplin, Mo.
 
Isabella Hohl continued the lowering of the 100m record after breaking her own mark of 12.05 in the prelims recording a time of 11.92 and then in the finals, recorded an NCAA provisional mark with a time of 11.87 finishing fifth in the finals. Hohl then came back in the 200m and ran a time of 24.96 breaking the previous Washburn record of 25.23 en route to her second, fifth-place finish of the day.
 
The 4x400m relay team of Hohl, Chia Okoro, Lyndsay Stinson and Mandana Vouillemin finished eighth and broke the Ichabod record in the event by .05 with a time of 3:55.00.
 
Virgi Scardanzan picked up a first-place in the pole vault and an NCAA automatic qualifying mark of 4.13m (13-06.50), which tied the Washburn record and was the fourth-best jump in the nation this season. She also became the first Washburn track and field athlete – either male or female – to record NCAA automatic qualifying marks in both the indoor and outdoor season.
 
Skyler Saunders notched up another top-five finish taking fourth place in the high jump with a mark of 1.63.
