KEARNEY, Neb. – A small group of the Ichabod women's track and field team came back with big results on the first day of two of the Loper Twilight Qualifier racking up two school records, an NCAA automatic qualifier, two NCAA provisional qualifiers and four personal bests.
 
Virgi Scardanzan recorded the best mark in the NCAA Division II ranks with an NCAA automatic leap of 4.35m (14-03.25) in the pole vault. The height broke her school record set last week at the MIAA Outdoor Championships of 4.25m (13-11.25). Rachael Mayberry improved on her NCAA provision mark entering the event of 3.82m (12-06.25) to tying her outdoor best of 3.91m (12-10.00) for a fourth-place finish.
 
Chia Okoro broke her own school record in the 400m with a time of 56.96 en route to a fourth-place finish topping her previous best mark of 57.13.
 
Mandana Vouillemin set two PRs finishing sixth in the 100m in a time of 12.16 and her time of 25.23 was also a PR in the 200m. Nikki Kraaijeveld recorded a PR in the 400m in a time of 1:06.80. Skyler Saunders was fourth in the high jump with an NCAA provisional mark of 1.68m (5-06.00). Shelby Edwards was fifth in the javelin with a mark of 39.82m (130-08).
