SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Washburn Ichabods climb back to .500 with a 7-0 win against Southern Arkansas (2-12). It was Washburn's fourth sweep of the season and second during their four-match win streak.
 
Svea Crohn and Marta Torres won their ninth match straight, 6-3, over their opponent. The Ichabods (8-8) earned the doubles point once Lara Schmid and Isabella Martennson won their match 6-4.
 
No. 39 Kinsey Fields and Maja Jung were down 5-4 before the match was called.
 
In singles play, Washburn took six straight-set victories to clinch the match. Crohn finished first topped Sarah Roy, 6-2, 6-2, at No. 3. Crohn is a perfect 3-0 since moving to the third position. Jung defeated Greta Wallin, 6-2, 7-5, at No. 2 singles. Cadence Lynn decided the match scoring 6-3 in both sets at the bottom of the lineup. Lynn has won five in a row and clinched three matches during the win streak.
 
Torres battled through a 7-6(7-3) first set, then cruised to a 6-2 second set. Martensson ended her losing streak, 6-3, 6-4, at No. 5 singles. Schmid finished the sweep, 7-5, 6-3, over Serena Gill in the fifth spot. 

The Ichabods travel to Bolivar, Mo. for a ranked matchup against No. 48 Harding on Sunday, April 3 at 1 p.m.
