KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- Washburn men's golf sits in second place in conference points standings released by the conference today while both Cade Uhlenhake and Dawson Wills are in the top-10 individually.
After three events the Ichabods have accumulated 25.5 points, just .5 points behind Northeastern State who leads the 10-team race. Washburn and the RiverHawks are the only two schools to finish in the top three at all three conference events held this season. The Ichabods captured the title at the first designated event of the season with a first place finish at NSU's designated event.
Missouri Southern sits just behind the Ichabods at 25 points, no other team is within five points in the standings.
The final designated event will be the 2023 MIAA Men's Golf Championships, hosted April 17-19 at the Silo Ridge Golf Course in Bolivar, Missouri.
Individually Cade Uhlenhake has 28.5 points, third among all golfers in the conference. Christian Yanovitch from Northeastern State leads with 30.5 points and Bennett Baldwin is just behind at 30 points, winning two of the three events.
Dawson Wills has the 10th most points in the conference with a total of 14.5 and Jack Baker picked up 10.5 points this past week at the Broncho Invitational and is 13th overall.
